From plain English to a real public service page.
Prompt to Page is a desktop app for macOS and Windows that turns a sentence into valid, accessible public service HTML. Pick a design system — GOV.UK, NHS.UK, or a GOV.UK + MOJ overlay — describe a page or a journey, watch generation progress, see the finished page render, and export a prototype — without your content ever leaving your machine.
Prompt in. Standards-compliant page out.
Describe
Write a plain-English brief — a single page or a full journey.
Generate
Watch live progress as the local model writes valid markup for your chosen design system.
Check & export
Run accessibility checks, then export HTML, Nunjucks, or a zipped prototype.
Built for service teams, not generic web pages.
Plain-English prompts
Describe what you need. The model writes valid design-system markup — not generic HTML.
Live design-system preview
See progress while the page generates, then the finished page renders in the style of your chosen design system.
Accessibility built in
axe-core runs against every output, surfacing WCAG 2.2 AA issues and items to review manually.
Design-system validation
Catches non-standard class names and patterns before they reach your prototype.
Switchable design packs
GOV.UK today, with an early NHS.UK pack and an optional MOJ overlay on top of GOV.UK. Pick per project.
Export anywhere
Download a ZIP, copy HTML, or copy Nunjucks straight into a Prototype Kit.
Powered by a local model you set up.
Pick a runtime, download an open-weight model once, then work entirely offline. Your briefs, page content, and exported prototypes never leave your machine.
- Choose your runtime — built-in, Ollama, or LM Studio.
- Download an open-weight model once over your normal internet.
- After that, generation, preview, and checks all run on your machine.
What to expect from the closed beta.
This is an early build. It works, and the output is real design-system markup — but you'll find rough edges, missing patterns, and the occasional generation that needs a second go.
It runs on macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows (64-bit). There's no Linux build yet.
Feedback is genuinely welcome — what worked, what didn't, what you wish it did.Email Courtney directly.
